India is gearing up for the launch of its third lunar mission, Chandrayaan 3. The mission is scheduled to launch on July 13-19, 2023, from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota.

The rocket is scheduled to be launched on July 14 at 2:35 pm. If all the factors favor India's lunar mission, the Chandrayaan-3 will land on the moon on August 23. However, the landing date may change based on the sunrise on the moon. Due to any reason, if the Chandrayaan-3 landing gets delayed, then it will be scheduled for the next month in September, said S. Somnath, ISRO chief.


The race to the Moon is heating up, with several countries vying to become the fourth to successfully land a spacecraft on the lunar surface. India is one of those four countries, and its Chandrayaan-3 mission is set to launch on July 14, 2023.


Chandrayaan-3 is a repeat of the Vikram lander, but with some modifications to improve its chances of success. The lander will be accompanied by a rover, Pragyan, which will explore the lunar surface.
